We have working payphones in some libraries, police stations and courthouses here. They mostly seem to be PTS payphones. I did see two of them by the side of the road near here with the New Tel company name on it. They actually seemed to paint the pedestals and clean the phones but stupid vandals keep scribbling grafitti on them. I always kept Lacquer thinner to wipe down graffitti when I use a payphone and acetone to try and smooth out the receiver that some Neanderthals like to hit on the phone and it tears up your ear. Of course the one thing I hate about payphones is the stupid decals and * phone number plates that really make the phones ugly.

If anyone decides to visit Lake Louise, they seem to have in service pay phones at Brewsters Lake Louise Stables & Dance Barn.

Are they located in Banff, Alberta, Canada?

Very cool. Wherever I go I watch for payphones but usually no luck. I found a beauty in excellent condition in Maine. I will find the photo and post it later. Mark
