I would have bought it with a crack. Its amazing what some super glue and sanding will do ;)

I would have left the 302 too Unless it was colored

It was the standard black one. Ive always wanted a colored 302! I went to Old Town Fredericksburg (just south of where I live) I went to this antique store that had alot of bakelite phones. They had this AE40 that I wanted but it was quite overpriced for its condition. It had many breakages in it. They were asking for about 120 dollars for it. All of those phones at that particular booth had something wrong with them all except for one. It was a North Electric Galion that was an Army set. They were asking for 50 dollars for it.
