Yes, they work great. I have one on the demo room in the museum. You should get at least one original Panasonic phone for programming, but they will work with all POTS phones by default (even if you don't have one Panasonic phone). Good price.

Well, I have seen them sell around that price. The only way to know is to get it, and you won't be out too much if they don't work. You might contact the seller to ascertain that they do work - that way if he says they do and it arrives non-working, you can go back on him. Although he doesn't have a lot of feedback, what he does have is all good.

Definitely worth getting, they're handy for more than just playing with, I mean thoroughly testing and demonstrating phones, as you can use the Music on Hold feature to deal with unwanted callers, just by putting them on hold and playing really irritating music while you "look for" the person they're asking to speak with....

Yep, I've been touting that one the most cos I use it as my mobile phone's ringtone....

Also have Pixel Peeker Polka (Fast version) too from the same site...

I just need to sort out the lalalalalalalala one so that it loops cleanly when played on an infinite loop (unless the thing crashes, like it seems to have done so today, or loses power) on ye olde Compaq LTE5300 laptop, as so far it's the best audio source that I'm not using (much) for anything else, well, when the audio socket actually makes a good connection anyway...

Well.  It's here.  And it works fine.

I feel stupid, though.  It took me a few seconds to figure out.  I forgot that a PBX's default programming was likely to require a 9 for an outside line.

You can also dial
81 for line 1
82 for line 2
83 for line 3
84 for line 4
85 for line 5
86 for line 6
The dial 9 will access any of the 6 lines. If you only have 1 line and you
dial 9 on the 2nd phone you will receive dead air.
You can progran the system to only access what lines you want when you dial 9.

One way to use the 8x codes is to use them them as so:

81 - Phone Line
82 - Skype (or any VOIP service)
83 - C*Net
84 - Premicell (GSM to POTS adaptor)

Or some other configuration of your own...

How does that work, exactly?

If you just pick up a line and dial 9, does it default to the CO service connected at 81?

If you want to use something else, would you pick it up and dial 982 for Skype, or 829, or something like that?

I'll collect manuals today sometime and start learning.

9 gives you an available line starting with the 1st one not busy
Dial 81 to select the 1st line
Dial 82 to select the 2nd line etc.
Not necessary to dial 829, just 82

Hmmm.   If the whole house is running off of Ext 11, will an incoming call on any CO cause all phones to ring?
