Hi there,

I've just bought a 1940s Belgique bell wall phone and what a delight it is! Can't understand how rubbish our modern day phone compared with it!!

I have one question and hoping someone will help; I realise that I need to first mount the phone onto wood to hang it but how?  ( four rubber 'feet' with hole inside but no 'thread' for screws' ) ???
please see photo enclosed

many thanks,
ann

I may be completely wrong, but looking at those top two feet would do me suggest that you need to open the phone up and pass screws or bolts through those two feet to attach the base plate to a wooden board or wall, though I have no idea which screws or bolts you'd need to use...

Thank you twocvbloke, will open it up to have a look :-)

I have a Norwegian wall telephone from 192x
The only way to hang this is quite long screws through a metal cylinder in the rubber legs, just like yours.
The room between the wall and the phone makes it easier to find a suitable way for the line into the phone.

Thank you d_s_k :-)

After opening the back which is on a hinge, I can now see that i can use bolts/nuts to secure it to the wood, so i'm off to get some bolts,

many thanks to you both :-)))
