Title: Odd 2500-type phone...
Post by: twocvbloke on April 05, 2012, 12:55:56 PM
Just been looking on ebayUK this morning, and spotted this 2500-type phone:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320882564636

And at first I thought the picture had been taken with someone's webcam and got mirrored, but looking at the picture in as best detail I can, the thing isn't mirrored, and has what I guess is a Flash button on the left-side of the keypad (all the ones I've seen have had the numbers to the left and function buttons to the right), and the keypad itself is shifted over to the right, and just looks very odd to me.... ???

Not a clue what brand it is, and I don't plan on buying it, I just thought share the link 'cos it was an oddity in the way that it looks... :D

Love that they called it "Columbo style".

Funky dial offset means it's probably China made in the 90's and newer.  I've got a 2500 from 1992 with the dial somewhat offset to the other side and it's made in China.  Internally it's nothing like a real 2500.
