Princess transformers

You always see people talking about the 2012A and 2012C transformers for the Princess telephones.  Under 'Station Sets' in the October 1960 BSP it mentions the KS-16184 transformer but you don't see this one mentioned at all in discussions.  Are they the same thing?  This is the transformer I have with a 701B Princess.

I think the KS # was probably the first version of the princess transformer. Over the years I have seen several different styles of princess transformers.  They also made large "apartment building" transformers for lighted dial sets, ( I have one stashed away for a future phone room project).

Some of the early transformers had a fire risk. You should always verify the transformer # against the list of "dangerous" transformers.
