A beautiful and rare Western Electric telephone from the 1920s is the subject of our next auction, as suggested by Dennis.  It's been restored, and it's a gem of a set if I ever saw one.

What do we think this one will bring? Get your guesses in before the auction's final day and you could be the next contest winner!

Nice Phone! Being offered bt ATCA member Dave Johnson. I am sure nana011 will be the new owner for over $5,000.00. I am guessing $6,750.01.

I have never seen a A1 Mount marked A, always D76859. This is a very cool set. For all you Forum members who don't know Dave Johnson from Wistful Vista Telephones in CT, he is a great guy. My guess is $3775.00....Doug

I like it. I'm just not mature enough to own one of those. By far.

What with moving to another state, and all, I've neglected this thread.  The phone ended at $1,530.00, with the reserve unmet.  As usual, when we all are over, the lowest bid is declared the winner, and reserves don't count.  All of which makes deedubya3800 the winner of this contest.  Congratulations, deedubya!

I certainly thought this would go much higher.  I guess the difference between an A1 and an A3 doesn't make much difference in the minds of the buyers, since $1500 is about what an A1 would go for in that condition.  Interesting result.

That should really sell for more. Is an A3 the same as a 104/204, or am I thinking of something else? Either way, the A-mount is rare in any form!
