A Sad Day in Boston

It is sad to hear about the child, last I heard they were saying that it was unconfirmed, but reading again, it has indeed been confirmed...

For one human being to so this to hundreds of others, it just boggles the mind, especially ending up killing a child...

Hopefully this is an isolated incident and just a mentally unstable basement dweller seeking attention (if it were a professional job they probably would have used more powerful bombs), they've been going nuts about the london marathon this weekend re-evaluating security, the marathon will go ahead though...

It brought tears to my eyes....Doug
Thanks for sharing that, Doug.

My love, and deepest sympathy goes out to you, yours, and all of Boston. What a fitting testament your collective strength it was.

To some, it is more than just an assemblage of notes and words. Probably the same crowd that views our flag as more than just an assemblage of coloured bits of cloth.

Stay Boston Strong, and best regards!

Update Friday 6 a.m AST. from CNN! The investigation yesterday released multiple videos of the suspects in the bombing. Overnight, a number of things have occured. One of two suspects in the bombing has been found, shot and killed by police following a shooting of a police officer at MIT and a subsequent car chase involving explosives, and police have the second suspect locked down in the Watertown, Mass. area. He is still free, but it should only be a matter of time! This is hot off the presses! In the meantime, people in Watertown, Mass. are being asked to stay inside.

Congratulations to police, the FBI, Dept. of Homeland Security, and all other investigators for a job well done. Hopefully, the second suspect will be captured today. Having found them, it won't help anyone injured or killed by their acts, but it will stop them from hurting anyone else!

Don't mess with Boston!

Note: The search area for the second suspect has been expanded beyond Watertown to surrounding areas. If you live in that area, please follow local police bulletins! Public transit is shut down.

It just goes to show how much power there is to respond to such attacks, and how much the people, affected either directly or not, will help to bring these people to justice, and have them punished for their crimes...

It is said that the fellow who lost both legs in the bombing handed a note to police as he came out of his anaesthetic that he had seen the bomber and gave investigators their first descriptions which led to the videos with them being found so quickly. Incredible - that was his first concern!

8:30 pm AST - CNN is reporting the possible second suspect is cornered in Watertown, Mass. Hopefully this is correct, and there will be a good resolution, and no more deaths or injuries.

Needless to say, we've been getting 24/7 coverage on the local channels.

It's a big relief to see him in custody.

Thank you all for you personal notes and support.

One monster has been terminated and the other caged.

Why would you do this? How could you do this? What makes a human being spin so far out of control?

Because someone else is too cowardly to do it themselves, so they brainwash others into believing they're doing what they did for the greater good, so they pay for the crime, but the orchestrators behind their actions get away scot free...

Sadly though, extremism will continue to happen, be it people like this bombing innocent people because they don't believe in equality for all, or people believing they have supremacy over other creeds, or people forcing others into believing gods or mythical beings through mass killing and drawn-out wars...
