Picked up a couple of ringer boxes, thought I would share some pictures.  One is a nice Stromberg Carlson.  Haven't seen a ringer quite like this one before.  I think it's a frequency ringer, maybe with adjustable weights?  Anyway, it rings nice and loud.  Notice how thin the backboard is.

The second one is a Kjobenhavns Telefon ringer.  Attractive ringer - don't know if it belongs to any candlestick or wood phone, or maybe just an extension ringer,  but it is cute and rings nice and loud.

Would a frequency ringer work on a modern line? ???

I have a couple frequency ringers that are in the 20 - 30 mhz that ring just fine.  There are other posts about modifing frequency ringers to make them work.  I cut the reed on a couple and now they ring fine also.
