Very nice, indeed, but what is the function of the 1/4" jack and the switch in the dial blank? The schematic says "operator's set" but how would that work with this phone, and why? It has a handset to do the same thing, I think.

Just a minor point, the shell is missing the screening. Seen a lot in bad shape but never missing.

its probably to allow the use of a headset in addition to the handset, so operators can multitask. It also looks like the hookswitch has been replaced with the turn key. It seems all original though.

And, I bet the screen was removed when the phone was restored by the seller.

I would say "nice" is an understatement...
Not only is the color beautiful, but the 'marbling' effect in the color is simply stunning!
