Hi all, I was wondering if someone in the near future could do a post about the in depth restoration (cleaning, painting (if necessary), lubrication, and any mechanical or electrical work (if needed). I want to see what all the parts look like, before and after cleaning/lubing. I want to see the what the smaller magnetos (the non-bar magnet ones, the later ones used in NE wall sets in Canada, and in some WWII field sets) look like inside, and how to properly lubricate them. I thought this would be another opportunity to explore the design and construction of magnetos in depth. What do you guys think? :) (yes, I know I am like magneto-obsessed right now!) I just love the look and the gears of magnetos, and the slotted screws!
