We went to see old planes, but what did I spot first?

You guessed it, the handset!  Couldn't help but see it right through the window!  First thing I did when I climbed on board was to pick up the handset.  It's the same handset that's on my 1953 Dictograph, a Western Electric F3 Push-To-Talk .  There were two of them in the plane.

Were you able to go for a ride?  Looks like a nice DC-3.

No, but you can if you buy a membership.  You get your choice of planes, they have a hanger full of fully restored WW2 fighter planes.  I want to ride in the nose of the B25 named "Grumpy"!

One of my fondest childhood memories was flying from Los Angeles to La Guardia Airport on a Lockheed L049 Constellation, not the super Connie.
