I picked up what looked like a nice  Northern Electric 701B Princess from eBay for $9 plus shipping.  It's beige but when I took the case off, it was obvious that it had been painted at one point because the case was tourquoise on the inside.  The 495A network seems to be dated 1960.  The handset is also painted but it is dated 1966 and it's original color is a darker beige than the phone is now.  There is no ringer or lead weight and the switchhook buttons are white.  Overall, a nice looking phone and it works...but I've not decided yet whether or not to try to remove the paint from the case.

Better make sure the handset is painted too or else you would have a mismatch

The handset is painted as well, but it's a darker beige originally than the paint that was applied over it, so it doesn't match the original color of the body.  I already have a nice looking tourquoise 702B, so I'll likely just leave this one as-is.
