Since the old Google Picasa albums changed many of the links not too long ago, I decided to generate current links to the albums I have created and shared in this forum. Enjoy.

Wow! What a beautiful collection! Such an exceptional job of restoration as well. We tend to forget how beautiful these phones once were.

Jorge, you left us hanging on that repair project on the Kellogg Ashe tray. How did it turn out?

Benny:
I knew someone was going to ask about this one. When I bought it, the bakelite body had a crack, so I tried to repair it with epoxy and seems to be holding well. However, such crack repair means the body will need to be painted to imitate the high luster bakelite has. In order to do that, I would need to acquire a hobby spray painter to do the job, and I haven't had a chance to do that. It would require some research as to what is the best paint to use, etc. So in the mean time, it sits in a box in the garage. I bought another phone which is an extension only (same bakelite model), but got disappointed because the bakelite is not in very good shape. So painting is the way to go.
When will I get to it?
One of these days ....

But I am looking to get results like the phone in the AE34 album.

Regards,
Jorge

Jorge,
Of course you know the beautifully designed ashe tray was notorious for the thin, and now brittle Bakelite bodies. I too have one that is perfect except for cracks in just about the same area yours has issues. Many of us were hoping for a resolution for our ashe tray woes.

Once again, my hat is off to you for the incredible restorations!...

You are my hero!

Jorge,

Those are some absolutely gorgeous phones in your collection, and to see the before and the after pictures, just makes me want to collect even more of these phones, and even though my pocket book can't take it, I still keep looking, and occasionally, buying.

I did find one model to be exceptionally beautiful however, and although I see you took only a single picture of it, I think it is my favorite. I do see though, that you did not mention the color, or make of it, but I too have the Exact same model in my possession.

It is known as an "Orange Tabby".

Here is a comparison between yours, and mine, and although I think your model is very nice, evidently mine needs a bit of a cleaning:

These models aren't very hard to come by, but often bring their owners great pride in owning them.  :P

Astounding photos, Jorge.  I actually downloaded several of the photos to rotate through as desktop pictures on my iMac, they were so good.  Thanks for sharing them with us, and thanks to TelePlay for organizing the links!  :)
