First, my ebay phone came in. It's a little dirty, but, will clean up well. It's a 500 C, and, dates to 1963. Metal dial. Has a UN no on dial. University I assume.
Rubber feet are rotted, and, kind of rusty.
It still has a hard wire cable on input end..

Now, here's the shocker!! Did someone here send me a care package????????
Its a later H 500. It has a plastic dial, and, a modern plug on back. It's a lighter phone. Handset was carefully wrapped in bubble wrap on this one.
It's dirty. Should I save it, or, use it to fix my wall phone?
Whoever sent it, thank you!!!!

Clearly the Phones Gods™ smiled on you.  Better give up an offering of milk and cookies so they will keep mailing you bonus phones.

Well, heck. Now, what do I do??  :-[
First, I tried the more modern phone today. It is all modular. It works, and, the bell rings, too!

I tried to screw on the WE mouthpieceonto the receiver on my WE wall phone. NO FIT. Found the only writing on the element that is with receiver that came with wall phone.
It says  AE 81. Someone replaced the hand unit!!!!!
Now I need the entire thing for the wall phone.
:-[ ??? :(

I think I'm gonna save the modular dial phone.
