Mediterranean Blue in Disguise?

I just noticed this blue 500 on Etsy: link.  Most of the parts have obviously been painted, and the picture of the bottom seems to show that the shell is Mediterranean blue.  If someone here buys this, please let us know what is under the paint.

It has been on ebay for a little while. Not a bad price for someone to give it a go.

The bezel and cord are aqua, so I think black polane painted.

The edges of the bottom of the shell definitely do not look black.  If the handset were black and original to 1954, it would have been grooved bakelite.
