Picked up this 1912 NE N1317 Picture Frame Phone today for $100.00 CDN. Looks to be all original and came with the batteries. It's in good shape, but needs a good cleaning because it is covered in dust.

Decided to give the phone a little clean up. Some before and after pictures. All I did was clean the metal up with water and dish soap, the wood with a wood conditioner that my wife gave me.

That is an awesome find, cleaned up very well! I'm not usually interested in wooden phones, but this one is an eye catcher.

Is there a way to save or rebuild the batteries? They are a very nice original addition to an already great piece.
