Title: My first dial stick, an AE? need info
Post by: RB on December 24, 2020, 01:18:32 PM
Just got this stick. Don't know much about it, any info will help.
There is no number on the perch, that worries me.
It looks like it used to be black? now is just brass.
There is no network inside, but works on my 616, why?
can anyone tell me the REAL model of this stick? and when it was made?
Also, the mouth piece has some crap in it. how can I clean/restore the color to it?
Last, shud I paint it black, or just polish the brass?

Is the date on the transmitter cup Nov 1910?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that is a repro WE stick. No WE banner under the Mouth piece. No marking on the back of the transmitter cradle. An AE Dial. Wires going to the dial mounting screws.

As Harry asked a 1910 transmitter cup. Inside of the base looks suspect....Doug

That's why I asked. All the repro sticks have that date. At least you got an AE dial.
