restistance lamps

does anyone know if the 12C resistance lamps are still available? I have one and am looking for a replacement source.... also, can this lamp handle 120VAC line voltage? from what I see, it looks like a 7 watt lightlight filament... but could be wrong... I have a 118A ring generator... this lamp is suppose to go in series with the bell? will it absorb the full votage in the event of a direct short? or blow out.... I have the practice on this unit but not the specs... any help here?   John
