It's interesting if you find it interesting how people with very little knowledge about collecting telephones will be happy to write an article that appears based on a few minutes of web searches.

Favorite Phone: Western Electric Trimline - it just feels right holding it up to my face!

Not to sure, but it looks to be one of those knock offs bodies to me.

I think the body is an unbranded  ITT/Cotelco. It is a common clear housing 2500 set. It is a later set.

However, there is a variety of clear after-market  generic 2500 housings out there. 
The visible difference is the clarity of the plastic and plastic type. The clear TT bezel can have different textures as well.
