This up on ebay UK, bids start at £165.

Seller says on listing:
'This  Telephone  is  made of cast iron & with bell box, its  not  the original one but  it will do  the job.
its in recovered condition and  has not been rewired but I  fitted a new dial on as the old one was faulty
This is a rare phone now and I have only seen a few in England'

I don't know if the body is an original painted gold one - too bad that wiki doesn't exist.

I guess we all know the body is not cast iron.

The handset and handset cord are not from a gold set.

It would have been better to leave the original dial - a 6E (or whatever it is) is definitely not right.

If the body is original, you would only need to find the correct dial, handset, subset and cords to make something that looks right. Probably not a likely outcome but possible.

I would hope he retained the original dial. If I was to buy it, I would insist on the original dial, working or not. He can keep his "replacement".
