Paul,
Would you happen to have any extra handsets of this model you would sell, or maybe a transmitter cap?
My feeling is they might be very hard to find.
I might contact Ray Kolke and see if he has ever worked with this handset.

You're welcome, Ken.

SC was one of the first makers I collected actively. I remember being puzzled when opening my first one.

I have some links for you:
-Schematic with wire colors. The 2 relevant lines should be blue (bleu, Bu) and white (blanc, Bc) :
https://www.telefoonmuseum.eu/index.php/1980-tot-2000/toestellen-tot-2000/item/229-socotel-s63

- Schematic of the plug: http://www.l2l1.com/tech2.htm#prise

-Standard French wiring: http://www.l2l1.com/docs/cablage_u43.pdf

On the German TAE plug you will need terminals 1 & 2. Your picture shows the arrangement watching on the wall socket! (Not the face of the plug.)
You could watch out for a "prise téléphonique" or "prise en T" on the French Ebay. I helped myself with alligator clips to use my U43  :P

Hello to the Forum,

I would appreciate some help as mentioned above. I bought a Socotel from 1981 which is in pretty good Condition. A the first step I would like to test if it is working properly. It has teh original PTT F010 Plug and I need to connect it to a German TAE-F Plug.
I really would apprreciate help in getting help in this way: French colors are from Bottom left side: red, white, blue. Right side is yellow at the top. I don´t want to cut off the french Plug - I would like to build me a Terminal.
Could someone tell me what french colors are standing for?
I have attached a picture of a german TAE-F Plug.
Thank you in advance

Forum member Gregg has had a opensource 1A2 project for a while now that handles 2 CO lines and generates the intercom line:

Corrected the colors for rec and xmtr:

Quote from: poplar1 on March 17, 2024, 01:51:59 AM(1) If Green handset cord conductor is open (no continuity):
[snip] So if it is only the green handset cord  that is open, then you can run a short wire between the green BLACK  receiver terminal and the black GREEN transmitter terminal inside the handset.
