I have a Leich 901B I am working on.
The magneto works OK, except the switch doesn't work. It is always
in the position where it shorts the magneto.

I show in the video the part that should activate the switch to unshort the magneto
does not push out the back.

(the metal piece on the bottom of the mag is just used to hold the mag in place for the video).

I am not sure of the nomenclature for the parts of a magneto.

How do I get the part to push out the back to switch the switch?

What happens if you use the original crank, and not turns directly on the gear?

OK, That is it. I need to push in on the crank as it is turned.
I was thinking the crank just needed to be turned.
Cleaned out the mag anyway, so it wasn't a total waste of time.

The spring pushed the crank back out, so it will short mag.
Got it!

:)Thanks Very Much!

It should not need to be pushed, thin oil should help (silicone free) In the old days they recommend food oil.

OK, Thanks! I will clean that section and drop some oil on it.
