Create Custom Dial Card?

There was a phone on eBay that had a cool dial card. EVerglade 1- 1953. Since I live in South Florida just a few miles from the Everglades it is fitting. Plus the number is in a year form. I would like to save this in a format I can change the year to fit the phone. I do not have the software or the computer skills to do that. Will one (or more) of you guys try to make a dial card for me?
I have attached a picture.
THANKS, Harry

Nice card, Harry!

Hope someone can help you with that.

Not to hijack the thread but on the same subject, while our resident techies are looking at this, It would be good if someone could look at the remains of this web site, that used to work, and see if it could be recreated, possibly even better! Someone abandoned a really cool tool!

I had soft ware that could do that, and when I had to upgrade my computer, that's software doesn't work in the new computer. It only worked in windows 98. Or older.
It was called print master, it let you make circles and then choose back ground, make other text box's, etc that would have worked perfectly for your request.

In fact I used to make three slot cards of all sorts dial centers, and single slot cards too.
So perhaps someone has that or similar software and what I wrote will give them an idea.

Harry   ...  I have a large dial card collection, most of which I've scanned in high resolution.      I have that dial card blank so I can reproduce the printing for you.    Do you want that exact printing, or do you want to change it to "EVerglade" something else.       I'll create perhaps 8 or so on an 8.5" by 11" inch letter size paper you can print off in your printer.

Thanks Jeff. I really appreiate that. I like it the way it is. I would want to be able to change just the last 4 digits to whatever year, such as 1938 for the 302 that I am almost done with.

What do you want your "special" number card to say Harry?

I want to be able to change it to the year of the phone it is put on. I would like 1938 & 1957 to start with.

That's a pretty cool card. EVerglade is now one of my favorite exchange names!

Even though the number isn't ideal for the year you want, it's still a great year for phone technology. I bet there's someone that wants a copy of that card as-is for one of their '57 phones.

Harry   ...    Ok, sounds good.    I'll send you ma "PM" in the morning, and we can set up some numbers / years you can use now and down the road.    There are two fonts involved in the number card pictured in that set you posted.     You can think about whether or not you want to use a single font, or replicate the two in the picture.

Looking at the source code for that site, it seems the creator posted CSS files on an external site and either that site no longer exists or the files were removed.

The parking (host CSS) site referenced in the remaining code was href="src/css/bootstrap/css/<specific file>"

Not knowing what was parked in the specific files on that site, it would be impossible to recreate the code unless someone wanted to create the CSS files from scratch, re-design the styles and fonts parked in the external site.

So, in short, no, it could not be recreated, but, if someone want to start from scratch and had access to a host site, something could be created.

Thanks for asking Benny & thanks for looking into it John. Too bad it can't be recreated.

When it was working it was a great tool to make number cards, they printed out in the perfect size.

If a new site was created to add the option of different formats and fonts as well, Harry could just go on the site and print one card just like he wanted, we all could, very cool! If the site were monetized with adds, it could be profitable.

Code writers...take heed!!

Actually the CSS files are present. What is missing is the created Image file being called. The path and file format is -> src/phone/phone_number_xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.bmp

Either the code generating it cant save it to the location or the code creating it is throwing an error that we don't know about and it's not creating the file.

This, below, is the page source code I see at the URL linked page. What did you use or do to fine the "path and file format is -> src/phone/phone_number_xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.bmp" code? I get "404 Not Found" flags to called links.

I really don't have the time to get into this, or the interest, so is there anything you can do to get it to work?

If you fill in the fields and process the page it will return with what should be the resultant composed image.
if you check the page source after that you'll see that the url to the image now points to a location where the file that was supposed to be created should reside.

The error is that the created file doesn't exist.

Without access to his backend code I cant reuse his implementation, however it could be recreated fairly easily.
If I get some spare time I'll see if there is anything I can cobble together.
