The more I look at this picture David posted, mine looks just like it. Only black instead of brown.

First pic is the one David added

Second pic is the other one just like mine

third pic is my before and after

I really think there were more than one combination...Doug

Now this is a phone I could understand being called Statuary Bronze....Doug

Understandble---but it's not. "-6" on the base indicates "old brass."

Here is a Statuary Bronze D1 202 painted for me by Mark Scola. It is superb. Mark is an excellent painter. This is a very hard paint job that I think is top notch...Doug

Here is another -6 old brass phone--a 1946 elevator phone. The back is the right color; someone repainted the front black--even the finger stop.

More statuary bronze phones for sale on Ebay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/111354244066

Seller says:
These two phones came from a garage sale many years ago in Beverly Hills.

I do not know the users name. The non dial extension was in the kitchen and could be carried to the dining room for important incoming calls only.

The two tone brown and green hues I believe to be listed at that time by Western Electric to resemble "Statuary Bronze".

Just received what I think is a New Old Stock 202 in Statuary Bronze:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/394466228857

The base is dated 1937. The "snuff catcher" is brown underneath the paint. The cords appear to be dark brown (-10). There are no marks on the spade tips, suggesting that the phone was never connected to a subset .

Really nice B mounts!  Seen D mounts in colors, but never B mounts!
