I just wanted to show you all a photo of a clock which I sold last weekend to a gentleman from Halifax. I have known the clock for most of my life, and it has been in my possession for the past 50 or so years.

It is the lighted Bulova Studio clock from Radio Station CFJR in Brockville, Ontario. Until last weekend it had resided on the wall of my barn. I first saw it when I was a wee lad touring the station, than 15-20 years later, rescued it by the side of the road....

I hated to see it go, but I hadn't done anything with it for the past 40 years. It needed some repair on the frosted back painting of the dial. It is now done and as you can see, it looks great!

If my memory serves me correctly, it had a start button on the motor, so they could set it one minute ahead, then press the button to start it to synchronize it with the Dominion Time signal.

Very nice. Is that station still on the air?

When I was young, CFJR was on 1450 khz, then moved later on (1985) to 830 khz, and is now broadcasting as CFJR FM at 109.45 Mhz.

Always liked the looks of those clocks and the announcement at station ID of the times.

One of the Radio Mikes with your station flag on top would be nice. From the 1950/60s. The radio inside was set to only receive the frequency of the one station. Stations used them as promo giveaways to their advertisers. Unusual to see a FM station on one of these as in that time period AM was still the king of the airways.

Yes, I have seen them before on antique shows. I would love to have the old RCA Ribbon Mic with CFJR on its top they used to use at the station...
