Hello,
I've wired up a 302 base to my D1, but, it won't really ring until I sort of tap the ringer a little. It wants to ring, but only can start itself occasionally. I'm wondering if some of my wires are not connecting well enough (I've wired it according to a picture) or, do you think I can adjust it mechanically somehow?
Thanks.

Move the small wire between the brass gongs. I can't recall the name of the wire. It should improve.

Good suggestion Dan.  NTO he is talking about the little springy wire---the bias tension spring.  There are three notches on the 302 ringers.  The spring in the center position works best on most lines.

I will try that now.

It Works!!!! Ta-da!!!!
Thanks, guys. I am super excited.
For pics of my phone, I posted them in General Discussion under

Thank you so much!!!

I registered just so I could say thanks. I was searching for a solution to this same problem with a 302. And moving the little tension spring setting solved it for me. :)

I just wanted to say thanks. :)
