Title: Abloy question
Post by: Dan F on December 03, 2017, 07:08:57 PM
Just picked up another payphone today. Cheap!

Came with Medico lock and key for coin vault

No key for the upper, which is an Abloy. I know I need to drill it out. Does anybody know which direction the sidebar is positioned so I can drill and pull it out.

up down left right. not sure where the sidebar is located.

Presumably you are talking about a single slot, not a three slot payphone? Going to need to know what make. AE upper locks are very different from WE.

Sorry about that. It uses western style single slot locks

The Bbloy locks are easily drilled out, you just have to drill enough to pick out the washers.  I hope this thread may help:
