Any idea who the woman named on the plaque was?

My guess is she was just an employee who retired after 3 decades of service.  Assuming this was a retirement gift, and guessing she could have put in 30 years and been in her mid to late 50s or early 60s when she retired in 1976, she would be pushing 100.  There is a record of a Jeanne D. Lyons age 96 in Queensbury, NY, a 3 hour drive from the former NY Telephone HQ in Manhattan.  That doesn't necessarily mean she's still alive though.  I can find my Dad's name online at his old address that gives his age if he was still alive, but he's not.  http://www.peekyou.com/jeanne_lyons/248161486
The idea that a four-year degree is the only path to worthwhile knowledge is insane.
