Does anyone know if you can use wireless phone extenders with rotary phones?

Thanks

Just wanted to bump this old post... Any recommendations for a wireless phone jack extender, rotary or otherwise? Looking for a way to get a jack in a building about 75-100 feet away. All if the reviews I've seen are mixed.

I think the wireless jacks support rotary.
The wireless jacks are power-line carrier, similar to the old X-10 home automation equipment.
Transient surge protection on the circuit can adversely effect power-line carrier signals.
I think the transmitter and receiver need to be on the same electrical phase as well.

I would run a direct burial circuit to the outbuilding. Make sure that you are using cable rated for direct burial.  In the past I have run direct burial telephone cable in schedule 40 PVC electrical conduit to provide additional mechanical protection for the cable.  Extra pairs don't hurt either.
I would bury it following code guidelines
