Displaying that rare phone?

I was going to put a phone inside an acrylic case and possibly display it with a light. Could anyone tell me if the light would eventually do damage to the phone?

It is a bakelite phone.

I think it depends on what kind of light you want to use, halogens create a lot of heat and could cause heat damage, some fluorescents can put out certain UV spectrum light which could cause UV damage to plastics, cloths and rubbers...

LED based lights on the other hand, that could be uses as they're generally cool-running and have a narrow light output band, you just have to decide on what colour temperature you wanted ("Warm-white", "Daylight-white" or "Cool-white"), and what type you'd use cos there's so many different forms of LED lighting, like striplights, spotlights, 12vDC, 120/240vAC, directional, wide beam, there's lots to choose from...
