After watching this auction, seeing no bids and as the dark brown plastic was not the usual ITT or Stromberg Carlson, I placed a low bid the day before it ended & got it.

The good news: Soft tenite plastic dial bezel, handset/caps (dated 10-56) & shell (dated 9?-56) - Easy to fix front corner crack - Simple to replace II-60 dated ringer & the closed style finger wheel.
More difficult: Finding a 7C-54 marked dial of the correct date.
But... the shell was notched for a modular line cord, causing a long crack.
Still I got a bargain on a scarce tenite color phone.

I'd try some wood glue on that crack.  It is my understanding that tenite is made from wood fibers.

Tenite is dissolved by denatured alcohol. I had good luck applying a little alcohol with a Q-tip on the inside of the shell, then wiggling the crack a little to work the liquid into the crack. Then pressed it tight and let it dry. Later I "chemical sanded" the shell with alcohol and paper towels following Christians great instructions: http://www.classicrotaryphones.com/forum/index.php?topic=18850.0

Put this in the find of the month.
it was a great deal even with the modifications.
