Nice phone! These elevator phones can be very hard to find, and you almost never see them in their outer case with glass! Super price. To bad it is on the other side of the continent from me!

I have one of these elevator phones new in the box.  One of my projects is to build some sort of case for it,  but the one in this listing looks great.  Not sure I am willing to cut holes in my walls to insert the case.  So in the mean time, the phone is still sitting in a box in the closet.

The door appears to be a retrofit and was probably manufactured to cosmetically update vintage elevator telephones when stainless steel came into vogue for the inside finish of elevator cars.

The magnetic latches and knob style is not in sync with the vintage of this instrument.

I quite like it myself, just a shame LA is a bit far away from here... :D

Reading their description, suggesting using it in a nuke shelter, it conjured up thoughts of where my MOD Mk.28 might look in-place, not that I know where to buy a surplus nuke shelter from (I've seen a few for sale, would love to own one, just as a little hideyhole for playing in, rather than as some nut who thinks the world will end soon!! :D ), but the thoughts are rattling around up in that set of rusty gears I call a brain... :D

Probably sent it to your place by USPS parcel is less than $30.
Ask for size and weight and verify price in www.usps.com site.
(well, not all folks want to sell a non local guy, or not receive cash...)
