California Water and Telephone Company 10.5x7 oval

Hi Collectors,
I recently acquired this sign after an Ebay bidding slugfest . Research shows the company was around until 1967 when it was purchased by General Tel of Calif. The porcelain is thinner with shallow but clearly visible ledging. The thickness of the plate is about 1.3mm.  The main colorful  image  appears consistent with photos I've seen. The reverse is black. One of the three rivets are present. It is in excellent condition overall with what looks like an edge chip by the 'T' in Water  to be a manufacturing artifact. I was wondering if any collectors out there have one with a black reverse . Another one just popped up on Ebay  with the same dark reverse.   
Thoughts anyone on its authenticity?

I am not that familiar with this sign to know about back variants. I'd assume that 33 bidders can't be wrong!  The price is about what I'd expect it to sell for.
