Hey all;

First post (woo hoo).

Anyway, looking for the following details for the NE/NT Centurion (Canadian). Specificity;

1. What is the upper housing key, and any idea where to get one?
2. What are the control line voltages to get the coin system to work. I want to build  a controller that connects to my computer so I can control it via my PBX :)

Thanks for the comment Paul.

It appears as though all of the items listed (I've previously gone through them) are for 3 slot phones. Can someone confirm the same principles of control happen for the Centurion?

Regards,
J

why-phones

the upper housing key ( for my phones )
is NE-22QD3
Note the last digit  3
appears on the lock to be stamped
later & lighter in the metal back of the lock.
this may be a customized series for this
small (only 15 payphones) town

As for a controller,  is it Pre-pay ( QSD(2)400AX, or E, or F ) has a coin relay
or is it Semi-postpay ( QSD(2)401A or B ) has a Receiver amplifier mounted
on the hopper & uses polarity reversal to signal call completion.

Centurions were sold without an upper housing lock - it was an optional extra. You do, however require a T key to tale the cover off and to unlock the upper housing. Every Centurion I have found (I have three never even had the lock knockout removed so a lock could be put on it). So check that first!

Most are prepay, but there were some semi-postpay ones built.
