GTE/AE 120B Payphone Installed

Hi all:

My AE 120B payphone arrived this morning, and I have it installed next to the WE 1D2 in the new room of the museum, Both are operated off lines from the Panasonic 616 phone system.

First before mounting it on the backboard, I checked it out on my B&K tester, then wired in a modular jack inside the phone to make it easier to connect.

No cautions or notes re: installing other than have your wife lift it to avoid hernias No modifications need to be made for coin-less operation on a non-pay line, same as the 1D2.

These join the several AE and Northern 3 slots, Centurions, Millennium desk and wall sets, and Gray collectors in the museum!

Along with the AE 120B, I received a June 1978 GTE Coin Telephone Handbook, which I told Terry I would scan. It contains sections on the 120A, 120B, a number of AE 3 Slots, and many booths. I will begin scanning these sections beginning with the 120a/b as there is a lot of information on the others online...

It will be a few weeks before I have the first file ready.
