French PTT24 "Dumpy" Phone

I just bought a French PTT24 "Dumpy" phone from a craigslist seller.  The price was $50 plus $15 for shipping.  I sure hope that it arrives safely.  I am assuming that these phones require a subset.  Any information about this phone would be appreciated.

No subset required.Has Ind coil. You will need a ringer though.The WE prototype that evolver into the E1 handset was almost identical to the french one

I saw that phone on ebay.  It looks to be in better condition, but with a later style handset.  There was also another on on ebay earlier today.  I do not know what happened with it.

The seller has told me that it is packaged and waiting to be dropped at UPS.  He prefers to use UPS instead of the USPS.

The phone arrived today, and I am in the process of restoring it.  The bottom is bare metal which used to be covered.  Does anyone know if these were normally covered in felt of suede?

The dial is dated 1964, much later than the other parts.  It looks an awful lot like an AE dial.  Here are some preliminary pictures.

I mostly finished cleaning and reassembling the phone, but it is still waiting for new felt for the bottom.  The phone was obviously spray painted at some point and has the typical dull spray paint type surface and a run on the shaft, so I did some light sanding and polishing to make the surface a bit glossier.  It works well now and dials out properly after cleaning and adjustment of the dial contacts.  There are two rivets of the front which most probably held a metal tag in the past.  There are several different dates o the parts.  The tag on the base reads: "MARCHE DU 18 DECEMBRE 1930", and the tag on the handset reads: "MARCHE DU 21.2.28 LOT No 67".  On the condenser is: "11.33", which I am guessing is the date.  The dial and Ericsson transmitter capsule are much later.  The handset and extra receiver cords are obviously non-factory replacements, and the line cord is a two-conductor brown cloth cord which i took from my box of cords.  The phone arrived without a line cord.  I would like try to find more authentic cords eventually.

This phone is so awkward looking, it is almost comical.

That tag is on my handset.  teka-bb was referring to the expensive phone on ebay.
