Hi Guys,
I was out hunting and was offered this nice early Bell  "8 hubcap. I searched all my references and could not locate a photo of this rather uncommon early sign. I do have the flange version which is not to uncommon . Does anyone have one?
Can anyone offer any retail valuation  suggestions?
Thanks,
Bob Farber

Very rare hubcap. $400-$600 (maybe a little more in a bidding war) in my opinion. 1st one I have seen in many, many years........ I hope you bought it.

I have no idea of rarity or  value, But the sign guys say to buy it. So you probably should.

Wondering if this is the same sign I saw years ago in a east coast collection.

Buy it or give me the guys name!!! Any use the Bell is not common.

Now that I think about it the rusty spot should disqualify it from your collection of pristine signs.  I think it would fit better in my collection of rare but rusty signs.  Feel free to send me the seller's contact info. ::)

Sorry.......

But the story gets better as I purchased 3 rarer signs for a song. Will post photos in about a week.

Hi Greg,
It is being shipped with a mint 1947 Canadian hubcap and  a very old and uncommon  pre 1943 independent United Telephone banner, all to arrive late this coming week.
Also have a  1908 Wisconsin hubcap won at a Michigan auction and uncommon mint   telephone cable  sign plucked off out of the hands of many eager buyers on Ebay.
The Mrs is doing her very best to ignore my porcelain feast by feigning disinterest.
Photos in a week .
I have tickets to go to the  Maitland Fla show in Jan to buy more despite my upcoming rotator cuff surgery. I must mount these additions pronto.
She already indicated she would rather I take her to Disney World . As she will be helping me carry any purchases she literally will have the extra and  upper hand this time.
Regards
Bob
