Matilo Telephones

A speaker telephone and some kind of one way intercom, as far as I can tell. Ericsson DBF 1101 with separate speaker and terminal box.
Picked it up 2 weeks ago, in the Hague. Allegedly it belonged to Dr Zeldenrust, a famous pathologist and coroner. He is the founder of forensic pathology and autopsies here in the Netherlands.
Unfortunately the phone did not come with any providence.
The seller told me the speaker was at the secretary's desk.

The phone works. I have dialtone in the handset and the buzzer works, after I hotwired it. It dials out too. Haven't been able to get sound on the speaker. Somebody has been messing with the wiring. I will have to put that right.
Almost totally original. Made in 1959, but the dial is dated 1970. And of course somebody worked on the wiring.

A bit of a rare beast and the seller contacted me through my website, so a good opportunity to finally get one of these.

The earthing button has broken off. There is some strange crusty deposit on top of the phone. Did not want to disturb that for fear of damaging the laquer.

Still researching this phone, but I thought I'd share the pictures. :-)
