Note 4H dial, square-can cap, and and 9-45 date code throughout.

Very interesting.   Not only is the cap square, but it's one I've never seen before.  Very unusual arrangement of the cords coming out.

What Bing said, plus the #4 looks like it's been there since day one. That is unusual!

The bottom two dial contacts have one of those little plastic covers over them.  I've seen that before.  I think it may have to do with the way it's wired.  But I don't know the reason for isolating those contacts.

When you guys first used the words "caps" I thought you were talking about handset caps.  I'm not used to that radio talk! :)
