I see the 1050 sold for $195 that I posted above.

Had I not had one, I'd have bought it. It was only about 2 hours from me.

Considering the new cost and sophistication of the 1050 in particular, I am surprised that it doesn't have more capability in judging dial pulses. It has an adjustment for the ringing voltage so you can see how a Ringer does with lower or higher ring voltage.  A tolerance adjustment for the display that shows what digits you have dialed would give you some idea how accurate the dial speed is even if it can't indicate make/break ratios.

Yeap, pretty sad a peice of test equipment missing a critical measurement on pulse dialing.  I do have 1 SAGE 930A with the two key options in it fully working, pm me with your offers.  Will be expensive to ship.  Pickup would be allowed in chicago area.  And will NOT entertain a 100.00 offer before shipping.

So far I live well with 1050 and this: https://goo.gl/jr2dAK.
In case of having a dial with long last pulse the audacity is great, but that is not often needed.

This is what I use to do my phones & dials. Can't say that I have ever seen this "NORTHEAST ELECTRONICS CORP" dial tester Model TTS-26B mentioned, but I may have missed it somewhere here.

I stumbled upon the 1045 manual while cruising the forum

I stumbled upon the 1045 manual while cruising the forum:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The basic  test functions  of the BK 1045B

note: the 1045, 1045 A, 1045 B , BK 1950 and the radio shack tester all operate the same as far as basic test functions.
The BK 1050 is more deluxe and can test old cordless phones as well
>edit< The radio Shack tester works the  same as a BK 1045<edit>

Early BK 1945/1950  test sets may not illuminate incandescent dial lamps on trimline or princess phones.

I just bought a TTS-26B  off eBay. Found a manual (with schematics) here:

It may or may not work, but the instrument looks pretty simple, so here's hoping.
