I found this on youtube about our police in Port Barre, LA. As funny as it is, it's also fairly accurate.

That's pretty funny there, Foots. :D

It reminds me of last year when I was working in State Parks on the Fourth of July. The coast highway has a big long dip in the road there, complete with dangerous blind curves, and the entrance to the the big full camping park and the entrance to a local very popular beach just opposite. Plus lots of happy camper pedestrians constantly crossing the highway and big huge RVs and logging trucks, etc..

So of course the speed limit is slow there for very good reasons. But tourists (and locals) always tend to take it over the speed limit. So all day I kept hearing a single Highway Patrol siren just going on and off, back and forth, as he would pull over one speeder after another, like clockwork, then just turn around and go the other way and do it again.

I found it rather amusing and at the end of the day I thanked him. It was almost as entertaining as the local parade...
