This ends tonight. On eBay UK. The seller has listed it as rare?

302893581458

Price at the moment is £94 plus shipping. Is that a good price?

All info welcome. Many thanks.

<Edit>
Here's the eBay.uk link. Always good to include a picture as well.

It looks more like a British GPO stick to me.  Check out: http://britishtelephones.com.

Thanks for the fast reply and the link. Now it makes more sense. I've got a 150 and could see the similarities, the code on the top threw me, and I couldn't figure out the sellers W.E. in a UK office story.

Definitely British. The No 1 transmitter is GPO but the '4029A' mark on the stem is not, but could be STC as they used the 4000 number series. It would be useful to see if there were any marks on the other side but no photo is available for that.
The cords are not GPO either as they used braided types. Again, they could be STC (or later replacements).
The Western Electric reference is because of the 'W' on the transmitter. This was Western Electric until 1925 when it became Standard Telephones and Cables (STC), but the 'W' was still retained as the makers mark.
A useful reference of British makers marks is at http://telephonecollecting.org/manufacturer.html
It's in nice looking condition so the price is still quite fair IMHO.

Nice looking candlestick.  Receiver seems to still have it's original coating which is rare by itself.  Looks like a good buy.
