Waltham Mantle Clock

Jan found this on Sunday. I haven't cleaned it yet, but it does keep perfect time. Waltham watches were made in Waltham MASS and this clock is the same. Anybody have an idea about this....Doug

look for a clock repair shop in your area. I had a vintage Mantel clock that was key wound and it was assessed at about $500.00 as for yours, its hard to say,.... its newer and electric. But, find a clock shop where you are and they may be able to give you a assessment. If they can't, an antique store will work.....

I believe that Waltham sold their electric clock business to O.B. McClintock in 1948.  If that was the case, this clock would be from no later than 1948.  I think that it is post-war.  The dial is very nice with the art deco numbers, but I don't think that the clock is worth more than $20-$30.  A clock shop would probably want $150.
