Someone here was looking for a power supply recently. I do not recall who but there is one on eBay now. Asking $39.99 but taking offers with free shipping! Shipping is usually high since they are so heavy. If you don't get it I will!

I have seen those on ebay.
what were they originally used for?

HarrySmith

IIRC they are for powering switchboards.

Ah, ok. Never seen one connected...

they do more than switchboards! mine runs my 1A1 phone system and the 18VAC line also runs the relays on a electric fireplace and windows air conditioner... Plus, the secondary 10 Volt line is used for my homes doorbell circuit! so, hows that for versatility?
