I recently purchased a 1951 500T with the small font OPERATOR dial face. It's dated 3-51.

I discovered the dial is a 7A dated 4-51. It has the back-painted numbers and letters.

Does anyone know when these were in production?

When did the curved OPERATOR end and the small font begin or were these unrelated?

Pics attached.

I just checked my 500T from 1/52 and it has the larger curved operator font.. Maybe that might help...

As Bill's small operator set is from the last month of 1951 and my 500 from the first month of 1952 that means it was probably discontinued in 1952.
