Dennis,

I use the same technique.  I thing that I would like to know, is how does everyone (anyone) clean the buffing pads (terri cloth covers).  I know they are not that expensive to buy new, but I would like to get more than 1 or 2 uses out of them.

I have tried soaking them, putting them through the washer etc but they never are really "clean" after the first use.

Any thoughts ?

Also ... and this is a little off topic ....

I am working on some bakelite plastic radios cases (Philco Model 48-200 for example).  Would the same novus / ryobi polishing techniques work for these ?

I throw the terry cloth covers in the wash machine with other rags/towels that I use for cleaning phones.  They may not be white again, but they're clean enough to get dirty again.

As far as radios I'm sure you can use Novus on the Bakelite.  I've not used a buffer, handheld or otherwise, but I'm sure the Bakelite is much thinner.  It may break easily.
