I am looking to get another AE phone from the 40's, it says CHICAGO 7 U.S.A on the bottom.

What is Chicago 7?

It looks to be in all original condition with the 4 prong plug.

Before Zip Codes were implemented in 1963, American cities had postal zones.  They were written like Chicago 7, IL and New York 2, NY.

I won't be getting the AE, anything about Ericson phone I should know?

GG

Which Ericsson?  There were probably a couple hundred different types including the ones they designed for specific countries such as the UK GPO 706, and variants made by easily a dozen other firms including ITI in India.

It is one made in Sweden that is all I know for now

Joey,

There is probably no other company on the planet which made as many phones for as many markets as Ericsson.  Also, many phones made by manufacturers other than Ericsson, such as British GPO 300 series, were based on Ericsson's designs.  Are you looking at a 1940s era phone?
