Hello folks,

Like many of you all, I have a whole bunch of F-1 and G-1 handsets which are pretty rough.

Purely on a whim, earlier, I tried polishing one with Semichrome. Much to my surprise, with some elbow grease, it brought right back a nice glassy black finish. It's not quite as shiny as my really good handsets(which are few and far between), but definitely looks better than your average run-of-the mill handset that one typically finds.

I'll post photos later, but I've tried this on several handsets with great results so far. It looks better than any other polish I've used, including Novus, Brasso, and Armor-all. I imagine that a coat of Armorall over top of the Semichrome would do even better.

Somehow that sounds so very wrong.

Yet.  It sounds so right.
