What is the name of the cable that you have to disconnect on a 233g (and similar) when you want to remove the upper housing? It's got a 15-pin connector at one end (though only 8 are used). The other end  just has forks for terminal connections.

I'm trying to find a replacement but don't know how to reference the thing.

Yes, that'd be it, thanks. I was hoping to find a complete cable but I guess I could wire one up with that connector.

bitbucket. Take a look at the attachment. It's the cable form a Western Electric 236G. I assume that's what you're looking for.
The connector from Digi-Key won't work. Assuming you are using it in a 236G you'll never be able to close the phone. If this is what you need, PM me and we'll work something out.

Those are "D" shell connectors.
I think centronics made them first???

Canon, cinch, amp, etc.  Widely used.   I think Stan has the exact replacement harness needed.
